Poor Demi Moore

Demi Moore has been a big name in Hollywood since before I was even born. But despite the fame and fortune that she possesses, she is obviously not a happy woman. Over the years she has been in the gossip columns for a supposed total body make-over via plastic surgery, and she famously married Ashton Kutcher, a man 15 years her junior, in 2005. She looks amazing for her age, but over the past few years she has taken to posting pictures of herself in bikinis on Twitter- not typical behavior for a 49 year old mother of three girls. It seems like she tried to appear and act the same age as her husband, but no matter how good you look it is weird to see any person try to act 15 years younger than their true age.

Demi and Ashton announced their plans to divorce at the end of 2011. It seemed like Demi was taking the mature route, but reports soon surfaced that she had been spending a lot of time out partying with her eldest daughter Rumer. From what I have read it sounds like Ashton Kutcher was a pretty lousy husband, and apparently Demi is having a hard time coping with the betrayals by her soon-to-be ex, along with other disappointments in her life.

It has been reported that on January 23 medical personnel were called to Moore's home via 9-1-1 due to the fact that she had fallen into a semi-coma. Of course her people put out the statement that she is suffering from exhaustion. I am always amazed when I hear that someone is hospitalized for "exhaustion". I have never met one person that has spent any time in a hospital for being exhausted. It must be a Hollywood ailment that you can only contract if you make at least $10 million per year.

TMZ.com is now reporting that Demi's condition was caused by whip-its. Yes, you read that right, whip-its. I have not heard that term in years, as my time in junior high was more than 10 years ago. I don't know what is more disturbing- the fact that a 49 year old mom was doing whip-its, or the fact that she did so many that she had a seizure and fell into a semi-coma. Either way, I find it to be a very sad situation. I guess huge amounts of money and worldwide fame are not enough to ensure happiness.
